This 6-week workshop is about a celebratory story about you and your life, with storyteller and artist Alexander Mackenzie.
About this Event

It may be that you have had an event, challenges or miracles in your life that have shaped you and your decisions, indeed your lifepath. It may well be that such a story has not been spoken aloud by you to others. This workshop is about you and your daring to say what to date has been largely wordless. It's about how good it is to be you in the world (while remaining humble of course!). It might be a small incident.

This workshop is about a celebratory story about you and your life. Even if it has been told before, it may be worth telling again with verve.
Is it a time for you to become a storyteller of such an event?

Join storyteller and artist Alexander Mackenzie in a 6-week experiential adventure of discovering storytelling, candid sharing, deep listening and renewed appreciation of your life.

Weekly on Monday, 9am-12pm. 6-week series: 4th May, 11 May, 18 May, 1 June, 8 June, 15 June 2026

Agenda
Session 1: 4 May

Info: Each week follows on to the next, and you will have the chance to look back, to be present and to contemplate next steps, pondering this in the company of your community. You will know what it is to discover Personal Resolve, your ability to keep finding the bigger picture.

Week One: Early years—listening to each other’s earliest memories. When we encourage others to speak, we make it possible for them to also engage in our story.

Session 2: 11 May

Info: Week Two: Thresholds—what were those portals of experience and people that formed your younger perspectives? This week we will pay attention to the special people in our life.

Session 3: 18 May

Info: Week Three: Wonders—what were the events that made you ask questions, that made you stop in wonder? These are the roots of storytelling and are waiting patiently for you to speak out.

Session 4: 1 June

Info: Week Four: Surprises—what surprises you about your choices? When did you take the road less travelled? When did you catch yourself saying “why on earth…” We all know these moments. Storytellers call them out.

Session 5: 8 June

Info: Week Five: Important Next Steps—looking forward now, what will you do with this ‘one wild and precious life?’ What is important to attend to before you die?

Session 6: 15 June

Info: Week Six: Storytelling Event—can you hone your story to share some of the miracle of it with others, and dare to share it with your community? This is the opportunity for taking that risk...
