Join the Bujinkan Kakure Yama Dojo as we host Daishihan Phillip Legare for a weekend focused on Personal Protective Measures, Level One. PPM Level 1 is a defensive focused course for individuals who want to effectively deal with modern weapons and dangerous situations we may face today while staying within the our legal framework.

No previous experience is required to attend and no special equipment is required. Please wear comfortable training attire such as loose fitting street clothes.

Friday, Sept 18: 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM

Reception to follow at NachBar from 8:30 to 10:00 PM

Saturday, Sept 19: 10:00 am - 6:00 pm

Sunday, Sept 20: 10:00 am - 4:00 pm

What is Personal Protective Measures?
Personal Protective Measures is a comprehensive form of modern combatives for defense and offense. This program focuses on the most essential fundamentals to effectively deal with the weapons and dangerous situations that you may face in today’s modern context, all the while staying within our legal framework. It is NOT a martial arts style with unrealistic moves.
No previous martial arts experience necessary to attend this seminar!
Course Overview
Personal Protective Measures is currently comprised of two training levels. Level I is defensive in nature. It is broken down into an Introduction, followed by 8 modules and finishes with a practical exam. The course outline is:

• Module 1: Defensive Concepts
• Module 2: Ground Defense
• Module 3: Defense against Grabs and Chokes
• Module 4: Defense against Blunt Weapons
• Module 5: Defense against Edged Weapons, Pre-Contact
• Module 6: Defense against Edged Weapons, On-Contact
• Module 7: Defense Against Firearms
• Module 8: Defense Against Multiple Attackers, Crowd/Mob Scenario and Improvised Weapons.

While the modules above comprise a full weekend of training, we will begin to explore concepts from Level II as time permits.
