Personal Emergency Preparedness Workshop - August 2026
About this Event
Did you Know? According to UC Berkeley, there is a 72% chance of a major earthquake (magnitude 6.7 or greater) before 2043.
The Personal Emergency Preparedness (PEP) Course gives you the knowledge to better prepare yourself and your household for the next disaster or emergency.
Take our 90-minute course to learn about local hazards and what you can do to prepare yourself before the next disaster strikes.
All registered participants will receive a free starter "Go-Bag" upon completion of the course.
Please read the FAQ below for additional information on how to access the building and for some venue specific policies. Accessibility notes are also in the FAQ.
This session is hosted by Sogorea Te' Land Trust. Sogorea Te' has graciously arranged for a brief presentation by EBMUD following the City of Oakland's PEP presentation. All PEP participants are welcome to stay for the EBMUD presentation without need to register for a separate event. That portion of the evening is not affiliated nor vetted by the City of Oakland and information about the EBMUD presentation is provided solely as a courtesy. EBMUD will also have some items to give to attendees.
