Pershing Presents Cupid's Cup Workshop taught by Abby Lou Pottery

Workshop Details

Who fills your cup more than your significant other? Cupid's Cup workshop will teach you and your loved one how to handbuild a ceramic cup. Each couple will be given all materials, tools, and instructions to create their own unique mug. This class teaches couples to slab build, stamp, carve, underglaze, and detail mugs. Adorn your cup in conversation hearts, stamp a pattern, or write a love poem!

What to bring

Just your beautiful selves. Aprons are provided, but best to wear clothing you don't mind getting messy. All tools and supplies will be provided.

When do I get my work

Abby Lou Pottery will bisque fire, gloss glaze, and re-fire them again in their studio. You will recieve an email when finished products are availale for pick up at Pershing in about 3 weeks.

** Final product is not guaranteed lots of things can happen at 2200 degrees in the kiln** (slight warping, small cracks, glaze discoloration)

In an effort to continue providing music in our event space in a COVID conscious way we need your help supporting these local artists. Here are some highlights on what to expect.

No Crowds, Safety First!

We have created a very small offering that includes multiple seated areas and a maximum of 80-100 people in the gallery. This leaves us operating at reduced capacity in the gallery. Seated areas are available in a range of options starting with 2 guests up to an 8 person lounge.

Clean Air!

We've installed state of art UV lights in all of our HVAC systems. Providing us with clean air, that is constantly being purified so you can breathe easy.
