Join us for a creative immersive evening at Feedwell Kitchen and Bakery, Akwi Nji will be bringing spoken word along with the visuals of her latest work; “Persephone’s Return”.
Persephone’s Return is a journey into spring, nurturing, and mythologies of our own making and being. Iconography in the paintings suggest tablets (from which we read and discover story), a threshold between two points, and colors evoking the myth of Persephone and her descension into the underworld as well as ascension into our earthly world and its natural cycles of death and new life.
