About this Event
Who: Burmese Rohingya Community of Atlanta with Aaron from Shades of Green Permaculture
What: Build rain garden for pollinator garden and prep veggie gardening at the Rohingya Community House Yard
Why: Build a rain garden to fix a water issue at the crawl space of the house. Educate on rain water harvesting techniques. Educate on the wonderful regenerative technique of building Hugel Kulture (Hill Culture) Beds. Help support the Burmese Rohingya Community in growing their gardens.
How: Wonderful collaboration, and plenty of mulch, decomposing wood, green material, and tools.
Bring: Shovels, gloves, water, lunch (bring food to share if you'd like) and your shining face
The Burmese Rohingya Community of Georgia, Inc. (BRCG) is a community-based nonprofit organization located in Atlanta, GA, USA. Our mission is to promote self-sufficiency and equity for immigrants, refugees, and the underprivileged through comprehensive health and social services, community development, cultural activities, capacity building, and advocacy.
