Are you wanting to build self-sufficiency and resilience? Are you interested in building adaptability and reducing reliance on external systems for your daily needs?
Hosted by Susanne Peet of Eight Acres Permaculture, this two-hour workshop explores the expansive reach of permaculture, extending its principles to various aspects of your daily life. Learn how to create a more sustainable and fulfilling existence by understanding natural systems, fostering resourcefulness, and building strong community connections. Discover practical strategies for minimising waste, utilising renewable energy, and adopting circular principles in your home, workplace, and wider community.
WHAT YOU'LL LEARN:
-Permaculture Ethics and Design Principles: Explore the three ethics and twelve principles of permaculture and their application beyond food production.
-Resource Management: Discover practices for reducing waste, water conservation, renewable energy use, and responsible consumption.
-Circular Living: Learn about circular economy principles and how to implement them in various aspects of your life, from upcycling and repurposing to composting and water reuse.
-Building Community: Understand the importance of community resilience and explore permaculture-inspired collaboration practices for shared resources, knowledge exchange, and mutual support.
-Personal Applications: Identify areas in your daily life where you can integrate permaculture principles, from mindful consumption to creative reuse and DIY solutions.
Throughout the workshop, Susanne encourages participants to share their experiences, challenges, and tips. Learning from your community builds confidence and social networks.
Cost is $10pp. If you want to come but can't afford it right now, let us know. We have some free spots available for our workshops to make sure everyone can participate.
