Perineal Repair Workshop with Lisa Varnes-Epstein

This is a full day class taught by Lisa Varnes-Epstein, PA (HeartSong Ways), and hosted by Lucky Tomaszek, LM, CPM (Transitions: Birth Services for Every Body).
PLEASE NOTE: the location has been updated to the new office of Transitions Birth Services.
There is a didactic portion covering wound care and healing, perineal preservation, microbiome enhancement, anesthesia options, materials review, alternatives to suturing followed by progressive skill development from basic suture instrumentation and ties to second degree perineal repair.
If time permits, approaches to more complex lacerations will be reviewed.
Models used include suture skins, then foam models, and finally some sort of flesh (variable sources and participants may simply reuse the foam models to practice if desired).
