Perineal Reconstruction Study Day

Overview

This study day offers a comprehensive overview of surgical techniques for complex perineal reconstruction, including a multidisciplinary approach. It covers both reconstructive and resectional aspects of the field, including the role of radiology in preoperative planning and perioperative care. Lectures will discuss considerations in multi-organ removal and up to date avaiable reconstructive surgical options.

Listen to leading national and international experts from the fields of plastic surgery, colorectal surgery, urology, and gyne-oncological surgery. Some presenters have specialties involved in the treatment of patients with perineal malignancies.

All available reconstructive options and detailed information on perineal and pelvic defects, together with valuable insights into surgical execution, indications, and common complications and pitfalls encountered when dealing with these challenging defects, will be highlighted.

Venue Information

The Christie Education Centre is located on the 2nd floor in Dept 17 of the main hospital and can be accessed by stairs or lift. Toilets are also on this floor including an accessible toilet. The auditorium has a hearing loop available and ramp access. A prayer room is available and close by. We want everyone attending our event in person to have the best possible experience.
