The festival “Performing Exiles” presents an often disregarded scene of artists who live in Berlin. It reflects the description of exile beyond the narrow terminology of persecution; their biographies have been globalised from the outset. Das Festival „Performing Exiles“ präsentiert eine oft übersehene Szene von Künstler*innen, die in Berlin leben. Es reflektiert die Beschreibung von Exil jenseits der engen Begrifflichkeit von Verfolgung; ihre Biografien sind von Anfang an globalisierte. Zugleich versteht es sich als strukturelle Initiative und verbindet sich mit internationalen Positionen.
