Two of Chicago's iconic brass players present solo and collaborative work. In addition to electronically modified trombone and tuba, the evening's performance includes Rot: Correspondence a version of text based work by Riley Leitch.
About the Performers:

is a Chicago area trombonist. Riley has performed at the Nief Norf Festival, soundSCAPE Festival, and the Lucerne Festival Academy where he studied with members of Ensemble Intercontemporain and Ensemble Modern. Riley has premiered over 30 new works for solo trombone, chamber ensemble, and orchestra at events and venues such as Ear Taxi Festival and Red Note New Music Festival. He is currently commissioning new works for trombone that cross traditional disciplinary boundaries.

is a classically trained tuba player gone awry. She performs mostly as an improviser, using the tuba acoustically or in conjunction with electronic processing.
Her current musical projects include:
- Edition Redux - Ken Vandermark (reeds), Lily Finnegan (drums), Erez Dessel (keys)
- Three Grebes - Franki Hand (voice, guitar, accordion, violin, etc.), Ike Turner (guitar, drums, percussion, etc.)
- Where Were We - Erez Dessel (keys), Tyler Damon (drums)
- Duck Brain Ragtime Band - led by Ethan T. Parcell
Beth enjoys collaborating on cross-disciplinary performance projects, and has collaborated in works by Becky Grajeda, Nathanael Lee Jones, Sasha de Koninick, and Mark Booth.
