Looking to take your skills as an aerialist, dancer, acrobat, flow artist, strolling entertainer, or performer to the next level? Want to know how to enhance your stage presence or increase your odds of getting booked for those dream gigs? Or maybe you are getting ready for your first student showcase? Join our 4-week Performance Prep class designed to enhance your performance skills. Led by Felicia Coe, founder and owner of Cirque Wonderland Entertainment and professional aerialist with over a decade of experience training, coaching, and booking performers.
These workshops are open to performers of all skill levels and all disciplines.
Each week we'll have both physical movement topics and non-movement topics to give you a well-rounded training. We'll focus on specific topics such as:
Week 1:
Movement topic: Lines, Clean Extensions, and Sick Shapes
Non-movement topic: Professionalism on gigs; how to handle the unexpected.
Week 2:
Movement topic: Ambient movement & Flow. Liquid movement.
Non-movement topic: Safety on gigs and how to advocate for yourself.
Week 3:
Movement topic: Facial Exaggeration and Audience Interaction
Non-movement topic: Enhance bookability, get (re)hired for gigs, and spice up your social media.
Week 4:
Movement topic: Character Development, Music, and Using the Whole Stage.
Non-movement topic: Getting paid. Exposure vs. Bartering
BONUS: You'll also get a session on Costuming and Make-up to give you an added edge in your performances.
Upon completion, you'll be eligible for an invitation to participate in a filming of a demo reel with Cirque Wonderland Entertainment and receive 5 professional images from the event.
