About this Event

The Lab

Based on hir MFA research and a workshop presented at the Canadian Association for Theatre Research's 2022 Conference, Charlie will walk you through some key considerations when it comes to crafting a content flag (also called a warning or a note) for your theatre production. This is an imperfect art which is deeply subjective, so the workshop will introduce some key principals, considerations, and contemporary conversations about trauma-informed practice, consent, and the audience engagement. The workshop will also include plenty of time for questions, conversation, and practice writing your own content flags.

*Folks under 18 need an adult to attend with you!
