Beginner Ceramic Plate/Bowl Class with PiP - Perfectly imperfect Pottery

Tap into your inner sculptor! Join Marion from Perfectly Imperfect Pottery for a Beginner Ceramic Plate/Bowl Class on October 3th at 6:30pm at Patina at Home. Create your own dishes. You can make either a personalized plate or Bowl( think about anniversary, Birthday etc.)
During the class, each participant will be able to make a larger plate and small bowl , or a larger bowl and a small plate. The dishes will be made by using rolled slabs of clay/stoneware. Marion will guide you to incorporate layers of textures in the clay with stamps, or lace. You will also be able choose the glaze color for your dishes which Marion will add before they are fired.

Following the workshop, Marion will take the dishes home to her studio, sand the dishes and then fire them for about 10 hours at 1945 F to bisque. After the first firing, the dishes will be glazed and will be placed back in the kiln for a second fire for about 13 hours up to 2235 F.

Your dishes will be ready after about 3 to 4 weeks (you will get an email) and can be picked up at Patina at Home.

For this class, no clay experience is needed – just come and have fun! The class is $65/per person which includes clay and all materials needed.

The class will take place on October 3th at Patina at Home (504 Wyoming Avenue) at 6:30pm. Tickets are limited.
