Peppers Galore: Growing, Tasting & Hot Sauce Making Workshop

Join us for a celebration of all things peppers! Our speaker, John Story, grows about 500 varieties of peppers, hot and sweet, common and rare and will teach us about the wonderful varieties available in the genus ‘Capsicum’. We will explore Capsicum history, learn the fundamentals of growing peppers as well as expert growing tips and we will discuss common myths and pitfalls. Then we will learn the common production methods for making Hot Sauce and see a hot sauce making demonstration. Finally, we will wrap up the afternoon with a Tasting of some of John’s wonderful peppers. And we will have some pepper seeds for people to take home. Join us for a fabulous afternoon!
Our Presenter: John Story is a gardener, seed saver, hunter, angler, and forager — ducks, tomatoes, and peppers are of particular interest.
