About Duluth's Pepperkakebyen
Pepperkakebyen began in Duluth in 2011, inspired by Bente Soderlind, a Norwegian native and Sons of Norway member, who brought the idea of a community gingerbread city to the Nordic Center. The tradition was inspired by Bergen, Norway's famous Pepperkakebyen, one of the world's largest gingerbread cities.
