Pepe Willbergin ja Saimaa-yhtyeen klassikkoalbumin Pepe & Saimaa syntymästä tulee tänä vuonna kuluneeksi 10 vuotta. Pepe & Saimaa juhlistavat pyöreitä soittamalla kesällä 2023 kaksi erityislaatuista juhlakonserttia, joissa päästään nauttimaan albumista kokonaisuudessaan. Juhlakonsertit esitetään alkuperäisellä jättikokoonpanolla, jossa Pepen ja Saimaan kanssa lavalle nousevat Vantaan Viihdeorkesteri ja Vaskivuoren lukiolaisten kuoro.
Pepe & Saimaa ovat aikaisemmin esiintyneet yhdessä vain kaksi kertaa, kesällä 2014 Huvila-teltassa ja Ruisrockissa. Harvinaista herkkua on luvassa tänäkin kesänä, sillä Pepe & Saimaa esiintyvät Huvilan lisäksi ainoastaan Pori Jazzissa.
Illan avaa virolainen progerock-yhtye Põhja Konn, jonka muusikot ammentavat sointinsa niin jazzin, klassisen musiikin, funkin kuin popinkin maailmoista. Yhtye on palkittu Estonian Music Awardseissa Vuoden yhtye- ja Vuoden rockalbumi-palkinnoilla.

Pepe Willberg and Saimaa come back together in the summer of 2023 for two concerts to celebrate the 10th anniversary of their modern classic album Pepe & Saimaa ? One the milestones of Finnish music in the 2000s, Pepe & Saimaa went straight to the top of the Finnish charts in 2014, selling gold.
Pepe & Saimaa have previously performed together only twice, in the summer of 2014 at Huvila festival tent and Ruisrock. And it is going to be a rare treat this summer, too, since Pepe & Saimaa will only perform at Huvila festival tent and Pori Jazz. The orchestra for the performance is the Vantaa Orchestra.
The opening act is the Estonian progressive rock band Põhja Konn, whose playing is influenced by jazz, classical music, funk and pop. The band was awarded Band of the Year and Rock Album of the Year at the Estonian Music Awards.
