1Hood Power and Brunch with a Black Man proudly present People, Politics, and Power series featuring Jeezy. Please join us on Thursday Junes 27th at 7pm for a special screening of the new Hulu documentary, Hip-Hop and the White House followed by a conversations with award winning creative Jeezy to discuss the ways in which Hip Hop is used as tool for organizing, protest, and policy. This screening and conversation is apart of the ongoing People, Politics, and Power series which seeks to engage our community to use their electoral power to envision and fight for liberation.

About the Speaker

Jay Jeezy Jenkins is an Entrepreneur, Philanthropist , Creative, and NY Times Bestselling Author. Hailing from the Black belt of South Georgia, Jeezy used his mind and his music to create a better life for himself by honestly depicting the struggles of surviving during a recession, celebrating a historic election and being proud of where you are from.
