You will attend a 3-hour face-to-face session, where you will complete trainer-led demonstrations, practical activities, supervised practice and competence checks.
Step 5: Download your certificate

This People Moving and Handling Refresher Level 2 blended course supports you in applying essential knowledge and skills required for safer people moving and handling within health and social care environments, including safer handling principles, dynamic risk assessment, correct moving and handling techniques, safer use of handling equipment, reducing the risk of injury, and maintaining the dignity, safety and well-being of individuals during handling activities.

- Active participation in the Coventry practical training session
- Trainer-led questioning and practical discussion

Accreditation and certification
This People Moving and Handling Refresher blended course is externally reviewed and accredited by the CPD Certification Service (CPDUK). On successful completion of both the online learning and face-to-face practical assessment, you will be able to download a digital CPD certificate confirming completion of:

- The certificate is valid for 2 years from the date of completion
- Earlier refresher training may be required where there are changes to legislation, safer handling guidance, employer policy, equipment, workplace procedures, moving and handling risk assessments, learner responsibilities, workplace risks, or following incident reviews and identified competency concerns.
