Penultimate Media Presents The Weak Ender Featuring An Easy Death & Dread Engine with Special Guests Murder!, Sedai and Among The Outcast makes their Buffalo Iron Works debut on Sunday, April 13, 2025!DREAD ENGINE
Dread Engine is an American metal band known for their unique fusion of modern metalcore and electronic elements. With an emphasis on crushing riffs, soundscapes, and thought-provoking lyrics, the band has carved a niche for themselves in the underground metal scene. Formation and Early Years (2015-2018) Dread Engine was formed in Columbus, Ohio by vocalist Rick Kaercher and drummer Jay Coughlin. The band's roots trace back to a shared interest in bands like Slipknot, Tesseract, and Linkin Park, blending aggressive rhythms with expansive and cinematic sound. The band continued to hone their musicianship on stage creating a dedicated fanbase in central Ohio.
AN EASY DEATH
An Easy Death is a five-piece band from Rochester, NY, playing post-punkcore music with some heavier and more punk influences. We formed in 2020 and have been playing shows ever since. Our sound blends elements of punk and metal, and our lyrics often come from our own personal experiences and struggles. We all come from different musical backgrounds and influences including Norma Jean, MxPx, Blink 182, 36 Crazy Fists, and It Dies Today. Our first show was July of 2021 at Montage Music Hall and have since been making a name for ourselves in the Rochester and Buffalo areas.
AMONG THE OUTCAST
Among the Outcast is a 5 piece metalcore band from Springville, NY. They are a group that is unafraid to expose their vulnerabilities, channeling them into an unforgettable listening experience. The band's signature sound combined heavy, churning riffs and melodic harmonies, reflecting the dichotomy of despair and resilience that permeates their lyrics. A cathartic and empowering experience for anyone who has felt the sting of deception, loss, and the realization that they were never enough.
MURDER!
Murder!” is a high-octane skate punk | melodic hardcore band from Western New York. This is not your “average punk” band. Founded by Gus Walters and Tina Williams in early 2022, the creative duo set out with the “Murder! Mission!” of “keeping the energy up and the tempo quick”. The goal is to break the mold of the current “pop-punk” nursery school rhyme formula currently inhabited by wealthy milquetoast artists and emphatically deliver the message that “punk is not dead.” Aiming to create songs harkening back from the 90s skate punk revolution of bands like Pennywise, Strung Out, Bad Religion, and Face to Face, but with a Courtney Love femme fatale touch, “Murder!” Looks to inject “songs within songs”, teasing the listener with punk hooks, genre defining drum lines, and finally delivering a satisfying listening experience to the end user. Conn Sullivan keeps the low end backbone pumping on bass guitar and Berklee Grad Peter Myhalenko keeps it on time and uptempo on drums.
