Join the Penrose Library and Mobile Library Services staff for a fun-filled afternoon of crafts, prizes, food, and fun. Step inside Penrose Library and get your face painted, take part in friendly competition in the game room, and dig for fossils with the Pebble Pups from the Colorado Springs Mineralogical Society. If you're feeling creative, stop by the Teen area to make a button or visit our pop-up makerspace and create a zine to take home with you. While you're here, learn about our Community Resources, take a self-guided tour of the library, and discover a few surprises along the way.
Then let the fun take you outside where you can explore Booksy, our new bookmobile during a ribbon cutting! The Mobiles team will have a scavenger hunt, giant yard games, and fun crafts for the whole family. Meet our amazing drivers and learn about all the places we bring our library on wheels.
