Morley College London is delighted to welcome Mark Leckey, Turner Prize winner (2008) and one of the most influential figures in contemporary British art. Renowned for landmark works such as Fiorucci Made Me Hardcore and Industrial Light and Magic, Leckey’s practice spans found objects, video, and performance. His work explores themes of nostalgia, pop culture, and the anxieties of modern life, and was celebrated in a major exhibition at Tate Britain in 2019. This Penny Lecture reflects on his remarkable achievements and enduring impact on international contemporary art.
What to expect
In this Penny Lecture, Mark Leckey will take the audience on a retrospective journey through his artistic career.
