Pelvic Steam Ceremony

I invite you to join me for a special Ceremony. Take this opportunity to join a small group of women and experience the soothing and healing effects of pelvic herbal steaming.

You will learn the rich history and benefits of the ancient practice of pelvic steaming. You will experience a 10 minute guided steam session accompanied by meditation and sound therapy. There will be space for journaling, optional sharing, and song. This reflective and nurturing ceremony will provide deep renewal for your mind, body, and spirit.

Custom-made Cedar Pine

Herbal pelvic steam tea

Blankets and bolsters

Nourishing snack

Important Notes: Pelvic steaming is contraindicated during pregnancy and menstruation. If experiencing either of these, you are still welcome to join in meditation and connection without steam.

Our circle is limited to six-eight sisters, unless you have your own or if you are experienced with steaming in child’s pose (bolsters and blankets provided). Please to me directly if you have your own setup.

231 York St, Good Medicine Collective Portland, Maine

*There is free street parking available at Good Medicine. When you arrive, enter through the main entrance on York Street and proceed straight ahead to the steps at the end of the hallway. The studio space is located on the second floor.

Time:

Saturday, August 30th, from 2:00 PM-3:30 PM

*Please arrive 5-10 minutes early to get acquainted with the space, use the restroom if needed, and get settled so we can start promptly.

What to Wear:

FULL Length Long, loose dress or skirt, easy to wear while sitting on a sauna box

Underpants are optional as they will need to be removed while steaming

Socks or slippers

What to Bring:

Bath Towel (these will be folded and placed around the sauna box lid for cushion and easy clean up, extra soft is great! I will share more in person about setup)

Journal + pen/pencil

Hot Pad (something to place under your pot so it protects the wood floor beneath)

Stainless steel 2- 4 qt cooking pot with a lid (please no aluminum or non-stick coating) This must fit inside a 14x14 box and hold 4-6 cups water, so please nothing too big or too small.
