Among the many symptoms an individual with Parkinson's may experience, the non-motor ones are often less familiar or easily understood. Issues with bowel and bladder control, and sexual dysfunction can occur, potentially having a significant impact on your quality of life.
In this in-person education event, Deborah Jones, PT, DPT, with Providence Rehab, will provide a review of pelvic anatomy and lead a discussion about the common problems individuals with Parkinson's may experience with bowel and bladder function. Deborah will also explain how medications, age, and movement can all affect pelvic health and what interventions are available.
