🌙 Come and join a free guided bat walks at Point View Reserve, Howick, as we explore the hidden nocturnal world of our wonderful native bats (pekāpēka)! 🦇Using bat detectors 📡 and the fading light of dusk 🌅, our experienced guides will help you listen for bat calls 👂 and learn how these amazing animals use echolocation to navigate and hunt. This is a family-friendly nature experience designed for all ages 👨👩👧👦🌿
During these walks you’ll:
🦇 Discover the ecological role of bats in our local environment
📡 Learn how to use bat detectors to hear bat echolocation
🌙 Experience the reserve at dusk with an expert guide 🌿
This event is a great opportunity to connect with nature 🌱 and learn more about the wildlife right on our doorstep 🐾
