About this Event

Overview
This is the second in a series of peer-led journalling workshops, for adults. Each session stands alone, so you can attend one or join the full series. No writing experience is required.
In this workshop we’ll explore dialoguing - a creative form of journalling where you write as though you’re in conversation: with the page, with your emotions, your past or future self, or even everyday objects that hold meaning. This gentle, playful approach can help loosen the grip of the blank page, reveal your inner voice, and open up new angles on experiences you’d like to reflect on.

Every participant will receive a journal to use throughout the workshop (one per person, not per session 😊). For online sessions - there is a small added charge if this needs to be posted.
If the event is sold out, please join the waiting list, or contact Rachel to find out about future sessions.
Peer-Led Journaling Workshops
These workshops are open to complete beginners, occasional journallers, and those with a well-established practice. They’re for anyone who wants to begin, explore, expand, or deepen their journalling journey alongside others.
There will be a space to share your words and reflections within the group, but sharing is always optional.

“Peer-led” simply means that Rachel will guide and hold the space, while also taking part in the exercises herself.

Each session is available both in-person and online.

About the Facilitator - Rachel Mills
Rachel has been journalling since the age of nine, using writing to navigate life’s hardest moments and to capture its most meaningful ones. In 2024 she founded a writing group for women who are survivors of abuse through the charity Restored, driven by her passion for helping others find their voice through the written word.

She also leads a children’s group at the Writers Workshop and occasionally shares her poetry at open-mic nights.

Alongside her creative work, Rachel works for a local charity developing community health and wellbeing projects, with a strong focus on holistic support. Wholeness, creativity, connection and community are at the heart of everything she does.
