Haley and I will be doing a collab at ARC.HIVE Artist Run Centre in Victoria, opening Friday, March 6th at 7pm.All welcome!! Who doesn't love the bees???
This is going to be a lot of fun since there will be an interactive installation, a learning station with fascinating sites and videos, refreshments (on all days), and bee-products of course - soap, candles, honey - art and more!
You may be lucky and meet some of the artists in the hive here as well...
The fundraiser aspect is because Haley and her mom Heidi are finally going to nurture bees here in Metchosin. "For years we have struggled to find a good, local source of bees wax and honey for the soaps, so now we are just going to do it ourselves". This is so exciting!!!
Part of the fun will be selling bee-related products and art to help raise funds for the training, colonies, hive, gear etc.
Altogether its become an obsession, in a good way. So, come on out and learn about bees, enjoy some refreshments, and interact with us and the work.
