Pediatric Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner Training

The Pediatric Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE) training will equip nurses with the necessary skills to provide trauma-informed, person-centered care to pediatric victims of sexual assault. The training covers a range of topics, including pediatric anogenital anatomy, medical-forensic examination, history-taking, and the role of child protective services. Upon successful completion, nurses will have obtained the 40 hours of didactic training needed to pursue certification as a Pediatric SANE. This training course is approved by the Texas Office of the Attorney General.

When: Monday, June 8, 2026, through Friday, June 12, 2026

Where: Children’s Health Children’s Medical Center Dallas

Dallas, Texas 75235

Time: 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day

Continuing Education Hours:

· 40 Continuing Education hours will be provided upon successful completion of the course.

· Participants must attend all five days to receive credit for the course.

· No partial credit will be awarded.
