About this Event

Children with pediatric feeding disorders present with multi-faceted and complex needs. Support for these children involves a multidisciplinary team, including medical specialists, occupational therapists, speech-language pathologists, and caregivers.

This beginner to intermediate level course focuses on practical techniques for assessing and treating pediatric feeding disorders that can be utilized in a variety of settings. This course will focus on early intervention and early feeders taught from the perspective of OTs and SLPs. We will discuss evidence-based therapeutic strategies and ways to support real-life challenges to establish meaningful home programs. Special considerations for neurodivergent populations based on lived experiences will also be discussed.

Net proceeds from this course will support the needs of the Occupational Therapy and Speech-Language Pathology Departments.
