Pedal In Pink

Join us for a day dedicated to raising community awareness, support, and attention to breast cancer and its profound impact on the African American community. Breast cancer is the most commonly diagnosed cancer among African American women, and we face a 40% higher mortality rate from the disease—the highest of any racial or ethnic group in the U.S. It remains a leading cause of cancer-related deaths among black women and is the most common cancer affecting all women, regardless of race.

Our mission is to pedal with purpose, increasing awareness of breast cancer and raising funds for Tickled Pink Breast Cancer Support, Inc. These funds will help support survivors currently undergoing treatment in Raleigh, Durham, Chapel Hill, and nearby areas in North Carolina. Tickled Pink is dedicated to advocating for health and wellness during the battle against breast cancer, emphasizing the importance of healthy eating. Their work helps breast cancer survivors in treatment maintain a nutritious diet and "smile through trials."

In addition to raising funds, we are showcasing cycling as a powerful tool for health and well-being, especially for those battling breast cancer. Cycling is not only a viable exercise option for everyone, but it also serves as a sustainable means of commuting and transportation. By choosing to cycle, we are contributing to the reduction of emissions and supporting environmental health. Let’s ride together to promote both personal and planetary wellness!

Participants will cycle from the large shelter at Anderson Point Park along the Neuse River Trail to Sam's Branch trailhead in Clayton and back. Wear your pink gear and let's paint the trail PINK!

Non-riders are encouraged to join us for music, snacks, and fellowship.

Late registration starts October 1st - $55.
