The 9th annual Pedagogic Research Conference takes place online and in person on Thursday 18th January 2024. The theme for the Conference in 2024 is Technology and AI in Learning and Teaching.
Following on from an explosion in the use of digital tools for teaching in response to the pandemic, Generative AI and machine learning has recently received a lot of attention across the HE sector both in terms of risks to academic integrity and as an exciting new tool for enhancing teaching and learning. Technology and digital tools are now at the forefront of learning and teaching development and an exciting area to explore in terms of pedagogic research.
The annual pedagogic research conference has become an increasingly popular event in the University Calendar as it provides an exciting opportunity to collaborate, build networks and share emerging scholarship with peers from across the institution and beyond. As before, there will be a rich programme on offer including an exciting Keynote from Peter Hartley and Sue Beckingham on the theme of Using Generative Artificial Intelligence effectively in Higher Education: for the Common Good.
This is a small and friendly conference open to all staff which focuses on presenting research and research ideas relating to teaching and learning.
Please feel free to join in the conversations on Twitter/X using #PedRes2024
