Presented by Kate McCarty
Monday, September 14th from 2 to 3 p.m.
Looking to make your own homemade pickles? This demonstration from University of Maine Cooperative Extension staff and volunteers will teach you the basics of pickling more than just cucumbers. Green beans, cauliflower, and even mushrooms can all be transformed into delicious pickles. Learn from the experts how to pickle any vegetable you can grow or buy!
Kate McCarty has been the Food Systems Professional at UMaine Extension since 2009, after serving in the AmeriCorps VISTA program. She has completed the Master Food Preserver program, an intensive, hands-on training in all aspects of home food preservation.
