Join the African American Museum in Philadelphia to curate your own family archive with a scrapbooking workshop. During the activity, we will explore the concept of a family archive and create our own through hands-on scrapbooking activity. Inspired by Pearl Bailey’s handmade scrapbooks featured in our Pearl Bailey Showcase exhibition; this program will be led by Lunise Cerin from Memory Workers Guild. Guests are invited to bring small personal items that reflect their family’s unique story to incorporate into their scrapbook pages. The museum will provide base materials for up to two pages, while participants are encouraged to bring meaningful objects such as photographs, fabric, pressed flowers, letters, recipes, or other treasured keepsakes. Together, we will celebrate making family archives accessible, personal, and exciting within our gallery spaces.Purchase your ticket today at: https://tockify.com/aampmuseum/detail/869/1756054800000
