Pearl Rotary welcomes Honorary Visiting Rotarian, Bill Quatman!

Mr. Quatman is a licensed architect and attorney, who received two degrees in architecture from the University of Kansas and obtained his law degree from the University of Missouri-Kansas City. A native of Ohio, Bill is the current President of the Waldo-Brookside Rotary Club in Kansas City, Missouri. He is also the President of The American Society of Ephesus, Inc., a nonprofit entity founded by his grandfather, George Quatman, in 1955. Bill’s dad was also a past-president of this entity for many years. The Society lends financial aid to restore ancient Christian sites in ancient Ephesus, Turkey, as well as other projects in the U.S. and abroad. Bill has been to Turkey 14 times in the past 19 years.

Bill has been named one of The Best Lawyers in America and he is annually rated an “AV Preeminent” lawyer by his peers – the highest peer review rating for lawyers. Bill was in private law practice for 24 years, focusing on design and construction claims. From 2008 to 2021, Bill was General Counsel to Burns & McDonnell Engineering Co., Inc., one of the nation’s largest design and construction firms with over 10,000 employees. Bill is now retired and lives in San Antonio during the winter months with his wife and their dog. He is an Honorary Member of our club.
