Stephanie Carlson Plimpton Bio

Stephanie Carlson Plimpton has captivated audiences on concert, musical theatre, and opera stages throughout the United States and Europe. Her career highlights include performing leading roles in more than 20 opera and musical theatre productions, earning first-place honors in the Arizona Regional NATSAA Competition and winning the Hans Gabor Belvedere Competition in New York City, where she was selected to represent the United States in Vienna, Austria.

Ms. Carlson Plimpton holds a Bachelor of Arts in Music from the University of Northern Colorado, as well as a Master of Music and a Doctor of Musical Arts (ABD) in Voice Performance from the University of Arizona.

In 2015, Ms. Carlson Plimpton returned to her hometown of Fort Wayne, where she continues to perform alongside incredible regional artists, including the Fort Wayne Philharmonic. She also serves on the worship team at Pathway Community Church and coaches vocal and theatre students throughout the region. When she is not performing, Ms. Carlson Plimpton’s greatest joy is spending time with her two favorite men—her husband, Todd, and her son, Jake.
