It's almost time for the 2024 Peach Blossom Cluster. Will you be there? Want to be part of this year's success? Here's how...
At the PBC, we don't do "ugly" - be part of making the show beautiful! Tuesday afternoon is the day the prettiness gets pulled out of boxes and spread across the show site. People are needed to help hang photo backdrops, lay tablecloths on all the tables, hang flower baskets on the ring standards, etc. Contact Ginger Aldrich - https://www.facebook.com/ginger.aldrich.7
Want to help people navigate our large and fabulous show site? Volunteer on Tuesday afternoon to put up the signs around the grounds. Contact John Barnes - https://www.facebook.com/john.r.barnes
Be up close and personal with judges - be a ring steward! You can still show your dog(s) - they'll work around your showing schedule. Contact United Dog Show Stewards to find out how to make money while helping the show run smoothly: https://www.uniteddogshowstewards.com/
Be up close and personal with judges, stewards, and the people who make the PBC happen - be a hospitality volunteer! Contact Jerry Cerasini - he needs people for an hour or two each morning, an hour or two at lunchtime, and an hour or two each late afternoon: https://www.facebook.com/jerry.cerasini
Want to celebrate exceptionally accomplished dogs and their people? Be part of the Versatile Dog Competition! We're looking for one volunteer to check competitors' progress each day, and then tally the results and notify the top 4 on Saturday. Time commitment is about 1 hour daily Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, and about 2 hours on Saturday. Contact Lynette White: https://www.facebook.com/LeGrandChows
Want to celebrate the winners on Wednesday and Saturday? Volunteer at the trophy table! Tuesday afternoon is table set-up and decorating, Wednesday and Saturday you'll be trading trophy cards handed to you by happy winners for the trophy they've won. Friday evening is set-up for Saturday's show, and Saturday evening is inventory and pack-up. Contact Carol Simmons: https://www.facebook.com/carol.simmons.731
Want to watch dogs do agility or barn hunt? Volunteers are needed at those sports rings. If you're planning on trialing your dog(s) in any (or all!!) of those sports, volunteer while you're waiting for your next run. If you have some down time and want to watch great teams up close and personal, working an agility or barn hunt ring will inspire and delight you. Contact Jim Macke - https://www.facebook.com/jim.macke.5
Want to watch dogs lose their minds over a plastic bag on a string? Volunteer at CAT/Fast CAT. Two to four people a day are needed to check exhibitors in and check their soundness before they run. You'll be sitting under a tent with a good view of the Fast CAT chute. Contact Sandy Weaver - https://www.facebook.com/SandyJWeaver
Want to support the future of our sport? Volunteer at the eye clinic and/or the Junior's Ice Cream Social ringside on Saturday. Contact Ann Wallin - send us a message for her contact info.
Want to get paid to do one of the most important, most thankless job at the dog show? Volunteer to help with clean-up! People are needed Wednesday through Sunday, in the buildings and all around the grounds, to pick up what the dogs are puttin' down. Give us as little or as much time as you can - we'll give you $15 an hour. Contact Mary Ellen Macke - https://www.facebook.com/peachtreeweim
Thank you in advance for helping make the Peach Blossom Cluster one of America's premier canine experiences...see you in Perry!
