About this Event
Join yoga teacher Atim, and wellbeing enthusiast Jo, for a rejuvenating morning of stretching, de-stressing and relaxing. Our lovely yoga, wellbeing and social gathering will be held on Saturday 28th September 2024, from 11:30am to 1:30pm, in Grafton Underwood, at the Grafton Underwood Village Hall NN14 3AA. Parking is available and is free at the village hall. Ladies, gents, and all levels are welcome.
PEACEFUL WARRIOR YOGA
The morning's yoga and wellbeing session with include flexibility, balance and strength building poses. There will be a focus on good posture awareness, alignment, breathing techniques and a flowing martial arts inspired yoga sequence. The class will end with a guided meditation to leave you feeling calm and rejuvenated.
We invite you to come and explore the meaning of "peaceful warrior" in the yoga context. The peaceful warrior is a concept that has been significant since time began and represents a continuous journey in life of courage, loving kindness and wisdom that comes from a calm and peaceful, heart-centred self. Lots of variations of yoga poses will be given so you can wisely choose gentle or comfortable options to suit your own body and rest whenever you like. A free handout will be provided to help inspire you to practise more yoga.
WELLBEING & SOCIAL
After our yoga practice, Jo and Atim are happy to share wellbeing and alternative therapy tips with you. Jo is offering free Angel Card Readings. She is also offering 15% discount on 3 of her most popular aloe vera products that are great for the skin, hair and general wellbeing. We will also all enjoy social time to get to know each other, with light snacks and refreshments. Please feel free to bring any snacks that you would prefer or would like to share.
WHAT TO BRING
Please bring your own yoga mat and a blanket or large towel which can be used to cushion knees or for cosy comfort during the relaxation at the end. Bring your own water bottle too.

Eventbrite's fees (approximately £1.50) are included in the ticket price that you see, and are non-refundable. About yoga teacher, Atim. As a qualified Hatha yoga teacher, I like to use traditional and creative influences from India and around the world. I teach yoga at local Northamptonshire gyms and spas and have been practising yoga since I was 21 years old, when I was inspired to pursue yoga as a great way to de-stress. I love teaching yoga's benefits of promoting a calm, focused mind and a healthy body. Slow flowing or restorative sequences with mindfulness and breathing techniques influence my style of Hatha yoga. I also like to focus on helping to improve posture and strengthen the back and core. I hope you end your yoga practice feeling happy, relaxed, confident, calm and peaceful.
