This supportive and interactive 9-week class will help parents solve problems and feel more confident in their parenting. While this class is more general then individualized coaching, parents will gain an increased awareness of what their children need to lessen challenging behaviors and gain more cooperation.Some of the topics covered are:
-A new way to interpret your children’s behaviors
-Communication tools
-Insight into your own behaviors
-How to shift away from control and power struggles
-How to respond, instead of react, to difficult behaviors
-Strategies to calm yourself and your children when emotions are high
-Understanding what our children need to set them up for success
-How to set limits and teach your children important values
