Join us for an unforgettable evening at the Peabody Summer Benefit: Golden Hour, an after-hours celebration set against the museum’s stunning galleries and courtyard at sunset.
This event is open to guests aged 21 and above.
Dress code
Creative cocktail attire: a bolder and more playful form of cocktail attire, with which guests should feel encouraged to have fun and incorporate motifs from nature if you are so inspired.
Parking
Event parking is located in the Edwards-Whitney Parking Garage (278 Whitney Ave), Lots 41 and 199.
Additional handicapped accessible parking is available near the Yale Science Building as shown here; please follow signs to locate. When you arrive, please follow all posted signage and staff instructions to ensure you and your vehicle's safety while construction is taking place.

Programming
6:30 - 9:00 PM Musical Guest Goodnight Blue Moon brings their signature rich vocal harmonies and lush orchestrations with an outdoor performance in the Bass Courtyard.
6:30 – 7:30 PM Join Kailen Rogers, Associate Director of Exhibitions, in the Peabody’s temporary gallery to dive into the stories, crafts, and utilitarian artifacts of the Caribbean Indigenous survival journey before the exhibit closes on June 21st!
7:00 - 8:00 PM Garret Jolma, Museum Assistant for the Entomology, will showcase specimens and discuss the wonder of bugs, from bright color patterns and iridescence to more muted coloring. Come learn which bug species are common in Connecticut!
7:30 – 8:30 PM Learn about scientific instruments historically used to track the solstice with Alexi Baker, Collections Manager for our History of Science and Technology Collection.
8:00 – 9:00 PM Join Patrick Sweeney, Collections Manager for Botany, among the North American Dioramas as he discusses plants that have played a role in summer solstice rituals, festivities, and more.
Food and Beverage
Our friends at Small Kitchen Big Tastewill bring a taste of summer with beautifully curated grazing tables, seasonal small bites, desserts that celebrate the bounty of summer, and handcrafted cocktails and mocktails. Raise a glass to the summer, gather with friends, and celebrate the museum and it's mission with an unforgettable evening of music, nature, and exceptional food.
Ticket availability
Tickets are still available on Eventbrite and at the door. All funds raised by tickets and sponsorships directly support the museum's work preserving knowledge, fostering curiosity, and empowering communities to care for the planet we all share.
