Join us for our May PD After Hours - Board Service 101: An Introduction to Governance and Leadership, where we'll break down the fundamentals of board service in a clear, approachable way. From understanding governance and board dynamics to navigating key documents like bylaws and meeting agendas, this session will give you the tools to step into board service with confidence.
You'll also learn the basics of Robert's Rules of Order—so you can confidently participate in meetings, make motions, and understand how decisions are made.
This session is perfect for aspiring board members, current leaders, and nonprofit professionals looking to strengthen their boards, this session offers practical insights you can immediately apply.
About the Speaker:
Anna Lochas has extensive experience in board leadership and governance, including having served as the Board of Trustees Liaison for the University of West Florida. She holds a Masters in Public Administration and a graduate certificate in nonprofit leadership from UWF, completed the Board Professional Certificate Program through the Association of Governing Boards, and has served on multiple nonprofit boards, including the Pensacola Young Professionals, the Greater Pensacola Chamber, Pensacola Navy Days, and the Junior League of Pensacola.
