About this Event

Pasadena City College proudly presents: "Bridging Past and Present: Collaborative Piano Alumni Concert".

Join us at the Westerbeck Recital Hall for an extraordinary evening that celebrates the confluence of talent between our current students and distinguished alumni from the Piano Accompanying class.

This inaugural event features current students alongside recent graduates who have either been accepted into or have advanced their studies at prestigious institutions. These include the Peabody Institute of The Johns Hopkins University, USC Thornton School of Music, Mannes School of Music, Indiana University Jacobs School of Music, Berklee College of Music, UCLA, and more.

"Bridging Past and Present" is not just a concert; it is a gathering aimed at forging connections between our current students and outstanding alumni who have transferred to four-year universities, many of whom are now pursuing or have completed their master’s degrees. Notably, two of our recent graduates are now teaching composition and class piano at California State University, Long Beach.

This event represents a homecoming for our alumni, allowing them to give back to the community that nurtured their early careers. This special evening is also dedicated to establishing a robust network that supports each other’s academic and career aspirations.

We are thrilled to establish this concert as an annual spring tradition, hoping to strengthen our PCC Music Family for years to come. We look forward to welcoming you to this meaningful event, where we will unite to celebrate and continue our musical heritage!

This performance is presented to satisfy a portion of the requirements for Piano Accompanying (MUSC 044).
