PBS North Carolina's The Great Cover Up Film Screening, Q+A and Live Music

Join PBS North Carolina for an unforgettable evening celebrating The Great Cover Up — the long-running, much-loved Triangle music tradition where local bands deliver unforgettable tribute performances all for a great cause.

We’re rolling out the red carpet at downtown Raleigh’s historic Rialto Theater for a special community screening of all new documentary coming to PBS NC this summer, The Great Cover Up. The film will be followed by a lively panel discussion and audience Q+A with the filmmaking team, longtime performers, and the event’s original founder.

Then we’ll close out the night the way it all began — with live cover band performances that capture the spirit, joy, and legacy of this unique event that started as a fundraiser for victims of Hurricane Fran and continues to support local nonprofits to this day.

• When: Wednesday, August 27 at 7 PM (doors open at 6:30 PM)
• Where: The Rialto Theater, located at 1620 Glenwood Avenue, Raleigh
