🎶 Paws for Purpose: The 30-Mile Dog Walk ChallengeStep by step, tail by wag—walk for healing, hope, and harmony.
Starting August 15, 2025, we’re hitting the trail to raise awareness and support for veterans and survivors of PTSD and MST—and we want YOU to be part of it!
Whether you're walking with your pup, cheering from the sidelines, or donating from your desk, there’s a way for everyone to get involved:
🐕 Ways to Participate 🐾:
1️⃣ Join a Team – Pledge to walk with an existing team and help them reach their fundraising goal.
2️⃣ Create Your Own Team – Go solo or gather friends, set a fundraising goal, and walk with purpose.
3️⃣ Sponsor a Participant – Support someone already walking by sponsoring their journey.
4️⃣ Donate – Not a walker? No problem! You can still make a difference by donating directly to the cause.
Why It Matters:
100% of the funds raised go directly to Vintage Vixens Inc, a nonprofit performance troupe dedicated to:
🎭 Honoring veterans through theatrical performances
🍽️ Hosting dinner galas with inspiring speakers
🧠 Providing free group counseling sessions
🤝 Leading community outreach programs that educate and connect
📍 Event Details:
Start Date: August 15, 2025 Location: Nexton Walking Trail, 201 Sigma Drive, Summerville, SC This scenic, paved trail runs alongside I-26 and Sigma Drive, beginning at the parking lot of Summerville Executive Suites near Carolina Ale House.
Trail DETAILS:
🐾 Dog-friendly (leashes required)
👨👩👧👦 Kid, stroller, and wheelchair accessible
🌳 Shaded and scenic with lake views—perfect for pups and people alike!
Prefer your own route?
Participants are encouraged to create their own 2-mile trail and aim to walk it twice a week for a healthier you! Share your trail on this Facebook event page so others in your area can join in, meet up, and build camaraderie and support. Let’s turn solo walks into community moments!
