Join Paws and Recover for our biggest and most exciting fundraiser yet! What could be a better way to end the weekend than grooving to an awesome lineup of fun local bands while raising money to help people and their pets?
Paws and Recover are thrilled that three incredible local bands will be hosting a fundraising gig for us at the Marrickville Bowling Club. It’s going to be a fun-packed afternoon/evening of music and community spirit! Paws and Recover will be on the scene from about 2:30pm so come early if you'd like to have a quiet chat and an early squizz at the raffle prizes! Then from 4:30pm to 7:30pm, kick back to live performances from:
★ The Villebillies ★
Hailing from Marrickville, The Villebillies bring Americana style music to life with their own take on the best of the genre, mixing originals with great tunes, rich harmonies, instrumentation and rhythms. 'Try gettin' these songs outta your head' ♫
★ The Smoking Ruins ★
The Smoking Ruins craft moody pop originals about a world in bits. Melodic hooks, lush harmonies, savvy lyrics, synth swashes, dance beats and sultry sax are telltale signs of the band’s past musical exploits, which include pel mel, Lighthouse Keepers, Suzy and the Snakepit, Jude McGee and the Soft Touch, Famous, Love Gone Wrong, Widdershins, Martini Shakers and more.
★ The Fukers ★
If you like the retro sounds of The Swallows and Dean Martin or even Doris Day crossed with both Bob Dylan and Johnny Cash, then you need help...or you need The FUKERS!
The big men of little music are renowned as one of Australia’s most entertaining ukulele ensembles. This quirky eight piece band boasts 5 ukulele players, jazz guitar, double bass and drums!
