Discover the incredible story of this twentieth century prophet who paved the way for social justice and equality. Learn about Murray's groundbreaking work as a civil rights activist, lawyer, feminist, and Episcopal priest.
This in-person event promises to be a memorable experience filled with inspiring stories, a thought-provoking discussion with writer, researcher, and human rights advocate Trey Walk of the Pauli Murray Center—a true celebration of Murray's enduring impact on our society.

About Trey Walk
Trey Walk is a writer and advocate based in Brooklyn, New York. Trey is currently a researcher in the US Program at Human Rights Watch, exposing and challenging threats to voting rights, access to truthful information, and a multiracial democracy. He has worked as a community organizer and program manager at a number of local, state, and national organizations, including the Equal Justice Initiative and the Groundwork Project. Trey is a freelance writer and facilitator for several nonprofit organizations and digital publications. He makes an effort to dance a lot and shine a light on forgotten histories and communities.

About the Pauli Murray Center for History and Social Justice
The Pauli Murray Center is a nationally significant history site, anchored by Pauli Murray’s childhood home built by her grandparents in 1898 at 906 Carroll Street in Durham, North Carolina. By connecting history to contemporary human rights issues, the Pauli Murray Center will activate visitors of all ages to stand up for peace, equity and justice.
