A pianist and songwriter with a classical background, Paula's musical journey has taken her from Rachmaninoff to folk, Balkan music, R'n'B and soul—and from Poland to Italy, Greece, Spain and, most importantly for this evening, Rio de Janeiro, where she spent more than two years immersed in Brazilian music and performing with local musicians.
Her experience in Brazil opened the door to a much wider musical landscape: subtle melodies, intricate rhythms, poetry and stories shaped by the country's many cultures and traditions.
Expect an intimate evening of Brazilian rhythms, soulful melodies and songs inspired by Paula's own experiences of living between different worlds.
🎹 About Paula Krauze
Paula Krauze is a pianist and graduate of the Academy of Music in Poznań. Her musical curiosity has always led her beyond genre boundaries, allowing her to move freely between classical music and contemporary, folk and ethnic traditions.
She is also part of Aroma Voices, a duo with her sister exploring folk traditions from Greece, Poland and the Balkans through original arrangements and compositions.
A musician fascinated by the relationship between sound and image, Paula has also studied at a film school in Barcelona.
