Paul r. Harding was born in New York City and attended college in Buffalo, NY, where he was tutored by saxophonists Archie Shepp and Charles Gayle. He has published poetry and fiction with Theos Press, Aurius Unlimited, Black Renaissance Noire; Transition 112, Obsidian: Literature & Arts in the African Diaspora, Konch, Coon Bidness, Berkeley Poetry Review, Raven Chronicles and various anthologies. Paul has manuscripts in libraries at UC Berkeley, and the University of West Indies. He has been awarded the Philip Whalen Memorial Grant for poetry and Edith K. Draham Scholarship for fiction. He has performed with the legendary Charles Gayle, Ravi Coltrane, Joe Ford and Michael Bisio among others. Paul is completing a manuscript of short poems and researching first non-fiction project: Race and Heroism in Hollywood: Die Like a Man.
Eric Barber has been recognized as a truly unique voice on the saxophone whose artistic voice defies categorization. He has developed a unique approach that integrates jazz, Balkan, and Indian music combined with a deep palette of extended saxophone techniques. His versatility and artistic fearlessness have made him a partner for some of the world’s most innovative artists.
Hilliard Greene has been performing internationally for more than 30 years. Greene studied at the University of Northern Iowa and Berklee College of Music. Greene has worked with Jimmy Scott, serving as his bassist/Musical Director and with Cecil Taylor as his Concert Master for his group “Phtongos”. He is a faculty member at the Sound Collective in NYC.
Michael Wimberly has performed with George Clinton, The Boys Choir of Harlem, Paul Winter Consort; Vernon Reid, Henry Rollins, and Blondie, Dionne Warwick, Valerie Simpson, D'Angelo, Angie Stone and Alyson Williams. Wimberly has been a featured artist and composer with European American symphonies, as well as dance companies Urban Bush Women, Joffrey Ballet II, Alvin Ailey, and many others.
