Patterson Pass Water Treatment Plant Tours

Join us for a 60 minute walking tour of our newly upgraded plant and ozone treatment facility. The Patterson Pass Water Treatment Plant has been serving the Tri-Valley since 1962, treating imported surface water from the adjacent South Bay Aqueduct using dual-media filtration and chlorine treatment techniques. The plant has recently been upgraded to add ozone treatment technology. The plant capacity has also been expanded from 12 million gallons per day (mgd) to 24 mgd. Registration is required for tours. Tour attendees must be 10 or older and children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.

What to Wear

Participants must wear a shoe that covers the whole foot – sturdy walking shoes, athletic shoes, or flats. Do not wear sandals, heels, open-toed, or open-heel shoes.

Dress appropriately to walk, climb steps, and be outside in the sun or wind. The tour involves an hour of walking and standing.

How to Get There

Parking is available at the treatment plant. Please follow signage to get to the parking lot and check in area.

Additional Information

Please arrive 15 minutes prior to the tour start time to check in. Participants must complete a liability waiver and children under 18 will need a parent or guardian to complete their release.

Zone 7 Water Agency reserves the right to cancel tours. If a tour is canceled, registrants will be notified at least 24 hours prior.
