This month, we’re highlighting the avant-garde artist Yayoi Kusama, in partnership with Workshop SLC.

Yayoi Kusama was a world-renowned Japanese contemporary artist celebrated for her vibrant colors, mesmerizing patterns, and signature polka dots. From her famous pumpkins to her immersive Infinity Mirror Rooms, Kusama transformed simple shapes and repetition into extraordinary works of art.

In this beginner-friendly class, you’ll step into Kusama’s colorful world and create your own bold, patterned masterpiece. Using acrylic markers and paint, we’ll dive into dot art, stippling, repetition, and shape to build an eye-catching composition full of color, rhythm, and personality.
