Pattern Manipulation Private Sewing Lessons

I am offering one private sewing pattern manipulation lesson in order to help you to manipulate one sewing pattern style into your own desired style, in addition to providing you with four Private Sewing Lessons. You will learn how to manipulate one sewing pattern style changing it into a new desired sewing pattern style. You will learn how to transfer your manipulated pattern style idea on white paper roll, mark it correctly, cut the pattern pieces out and then you will sew the new one pattern style idea together.

No pattern making and sewing experience necessary.

The five private consecutive lessons are four hours each lesson offered on Saturdays only from 10:00 A.M. to 2:00 P.M.

The private lessons are offered to ages 9 through adults plus seniors on Saturdays only. Face mask are required.

A parent may not sit in a child's lesson however, the parent will be allowed to wait in our waiting area for their child to complete their lesson.

The sewing lessons will include:

*discuss sewing safety

*identify sewing machine and serger machine part identification

*identify how to measure your body correctly

*identify the correct posture to sew to prevent injury

*identify the commercial pattern pieces for the project

*identify the fabric to be used *thread the serger and sewing machine

*laying out your fabric and pattern commercial pieces correctly

*pin down and cut out the commercial patterns on the fabric correctly according to the commercial pattern guide

*follow the commercial sewing pattern guide to complete the required finishing technique

*use the serger machine to finish the insides of your project

*use the sewing machine to sew your project

Note:

You must provide your own sewing pattern, notions and your own sewing fabric. This offer does not include training you how to do garment printing, fabric dying and embellishment ideas.

We only train students how to use the Center's sewing equipment and sewing tools. We do not train students how to use your own personal sewing equipment.

All sewing equipment and sewing tools will be provided by KLC Couture Career Development Center, Inc.

You will take your projects only with you when completed.

Meals and beverages are not provided.

There will be no smoking inside KLC Couture Career Development Center, Inc. No video filming allowed during your lessons please. You are allowed to take pictures of your projects inside the location. You may not video record during your private lessons.

My office is located near the Suitland Metro Station and the Branch Avenue Metro Station. Please check Metro for bus scheduling.
